In 2000 I retired from the equestrian world to follow my other passion, photography. I studied under Carlan Tapp (Ansel Adams' assistant) at the Yosemite Workshop and Campass and joined Casco Bay Weekly, Maine's largest newspaper, as a photojournalist. I produced cover shots for some of the state's biggest news stories.
I also photographed for Portland's magazines and their community television network.
I created a food calendar titled "TRADE SECRETS," depicting local restaurant recipes and photographs for a non-profit adoption organization called "A Child for Me."
Another passion emerged in 2003, when I created my wedding and portrait photography business, which allows me the close rapport I enjoy with my clients.
I was honored by the famous Lucie Awards in New York City in 2005 and have had exhibits of my work shown at the University of New England, where my work became part of their permanent collection. I continue to work on my personal observations through my photographs.
Now, residing in Wimberley, Texas (helping my husband follow his dream) my commercial work is growing larger and I continue to enjoy meeting new clients for their many diverse needs in photographing their moments of happiness.
Be well always,
